Bomb scare at IGI Airport: Air India, Royal Nepal Airlines planes checked

New Delhi: Triggering the security personnel into action, a bomb threat was reported on two flights operating from New Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport on Thursday. Passengers have been disembarked from aircrafts and search operations were underway.

Royal Nepal Airlines flight RA206, going from Delhi to Kathmandu, was supposed to take off at 11:30am with 155 passengers plus 9 crew members.

The second flight in question was Air India 075 from Delhi to Bhubaneswar which had a take-off timing of 11 am. It had 173 passengers including four MPs and 7 crew members.

All passengers were deplaned for security checking and screening of their baggage. The authorities have said that both flights would not be cleared for take-off till security clearance.
