Chennai: Tamil Nadu Bharatiya Janata (BJP) on Monday launched a scathing cartoon attack against Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa’s camp via Twitter. Jayalalithaa and her aid Sasikala are seen as caricatures in the tweet in which the former is depicted as a puppet with Sasikala pulling the strings.
The text on the tweet says while the younger sister Sasikala is directing, Jayalalithaa is acting with a grand start to the poll drama.

As elections in the state are approaching in May, one will come across more arguments on these lines. This is probably the first assembly election in the state when social media is actively used by both the political parties.
BJP, expectant to forge an alliance with the AIADMK, were let down by the latter and is now left alone without any political alliance.
