Kumar was earlier barred from the university after the varsity registrar wrote to the police there.

Kanhaiya Kumar speaking at Hyderabad Central University said, “JNU’S agitation is an extension of justice for Rohith. Government wanted to silence our voices. There is a similarity between HCU and JNU in the context of attack on autonomy of universities and fight for social justice. Government is trying to silence our voices.

Earlier during the day, a shoe was thrown at student leader Kanhaiya Kumar before he addressed a conference in Hyderabad this morning.

BJP leader Siddharth Nath Singh said, “Hyderabad university issue relates to the state of Hyderabad and it relates to law and order. The law and order is the state subject, therefore it for the KCR’s government to decide whether the action taken in regard to Kanhaiya was right or wrong.
