Ramdev: “Never spoken to Congress"

Uttarakhand: The political crisis in Uttarakhand took a new turn with the Congress dragging Ramdev into the picture. Yoga guru Baba Ramdev has been accused by the Congress of secretly instigating a rebellion which could ensure the party loses power in Uttarakhand.
The head of the congress in the state Kishore Upadhyay has alleged that Ramdev was keen in proving his deal between rebellious Congress MLA’s and BJP.  The politician went on to tag the yoga guru as "a BJP agent".
Kishore Upadhyay, the president of the Congress said, “Ram Dev and Bhartiya Janata Party’s President Amit Shah has conspired against Uttarakhand’s state government. They have tried to tarnish the Uttarakhand politics.”

Though Ramdev denied charges saying, “Not even in my dream did I have a talk with any Congress MLA or party worker. Whatever we do, we do it openly... if we have to make or break something, we do it openly, and we don't do anything with a hidden agenda behind curtains,"
NCP leader Majeed Memon said, “Ram dev is a multi face personality apart from being a yoga guru, he is a huge businessman and also a latent politician. He of course leans towards BJP, BJP have given him tremendous support in the past and now he is trying to pay back BJP by helping them from back door.
Uttarakhand has 70 assembly seats. Before the Congress revolt, Mr Rawat had 36 law-makers on his side, which is the minimum needed to remain in power.
