Thirty dead in blast in Lahore’s Gulshan –I-Iqbal Park

Lahore: Over 30 dead and around 100 injured on Sunday in a deadly blast at Gulshan –I-Iqbal Park in Lahore, Pakistan.

According to the sources, most of the injured were women and children. Soon after the icident, emergency was declared in all the hospitals in the city. Around 23 ambulances were deployed by the city administration for relief work.

Initial reports suggests that the explosion took place in a parking area of the public park.

Witnesses said that there were pools of blood and scattered body parts in the park, where a large number of families, especially women and children, were enjoying their weekend.

Pakistan police said that the nature of the blast was not clear. However, investigations are underway.

PM Modi while sharing his condolences on Lahore blast went on twitter and said:

Few days ago, another blast had taken place in Pakistan on March 16 where killing 16 people were killed and several others injured. Later, The Pakistani Taliban's Jamat-ul-Ahrar faction claimed responsibility for the attack.
