India demands access to question Masood Azhar

New Delhi: While the Pakistan joint investigation team (JIT) comprising of ISI agents is looking for evidence at the Pathankot airbase, India has claimed its pound of flesh and named Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) chief Maulana Masood Azhar responsible for the terror attacks and has sought access to him.

Security agencies believe that Masood Azhar was the mastermind behind the Pathankot airbase attacks earlier this year.

Pakistan JIT includes ISI’s Lt Col rank officer Tanvir Ahmed, Military Intelligence Lt Col Irfan Mirza, Gujaranwala CTD Investigating Officer Shahid Tanver and Lahore’s Deputy Director General Intelligence Bureau Mohammad Azim Arshad.

Masood Azhar has spread more terror in India repeatedly starting from 1999 when his release was necessitated after the hijacking of IC814. He planned attacks on J&K assembly and Parliament in 2001.

NewsX sources draw a close connection of JeM behind Pathankot attack as the car used in the attack had a JeM note. The terrorists came from JeM headquarters in Bahalwalpur and modus operandi of this was similar to Jaish operations.
