WEST BENGAL: TMC Vice President and former West Bengal DGP Rajat Majumdar has been granted conditional bail byKolkata High Court on Monday.
Even though it is a conditional bail, but the order is sure to bring big relief to the TMC leader. CBI appeals for one-week stay on the order.
The TMC MP was arrested by CBI on September 9 last year for his involvement in the multi-crore Saradha scam. Majumdar has been granted conditional bail on bond of Rs 1 lakh.
Majumdar who is a former IPS officer and retired as the DG of state armed police has also been asked to deposit his passport and he is not allowed to go out of Kolkata and Salt Lake.
