Tricolour flag came after the saffron flag: RSS, General Secretary

RSS' saffron flag twister

New Delhi: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has stoked another controversy; General Secretary Bhaiyaji Joshi claimed on Saturday that there is nothing wrong in honouring the Saffron flag as the national flag because Tricolour is no different from the saffron flag.
He even added that the national anthem ‘Jana Gana Mana’ does not evoke the same kind patriotic sentiments as 'Vande Mataram'.
It seems that a new controversy has been started by the RSS and certainly it is not going down well with the opposition parties. Not only political parties even activists have slammed RSS saying this is a sort of insult against national flag and action should be taken against the concern person under various rules of Indian Penal Code (IPC) for insulting the national flag as well as the national anthem.
The JDU (Janta Dal United) has now raised question by saying that there is no difference between separatists in Kashmir and RSS. The separatists in Kashmir don’t respect the tricolour and in a way Bhaiyaji Joshi's statement is no less than insulting the national flag.
