Pakistan's U-turn

New Delhi: Pakistan Joint Investigation team came to India on a five-day visit to probe the Pathankot attack which took place earlier this year. The JIT on Sunday morning said, “Indian authorities did not provide us enough evidence.” The JIT took a flip-flop and entered the denial mode when they reached Pakistan.
JIT added we were not allowed to enter the military base through the main gate but instead taken from an adjacent route. The total time spent inside to probe the attacks was only 55 minutes which was not sufficient to prove that the terrorists were of Pakistani origin.
JIT also told Pakistani media that the Indian authorities majorly emphasised on the negligence of the Border Security Forces (BSF).
The U-turn taken by JIT after going back to Pakistan may further strain the already ‘not so cordial’ India-Pakistan relations.
