New Delhi: One after the other several eminent personalities have been adding spark to the already much enraged ‘Bharat Mata’ controversy. The latest to join this list is Baba Ramdev.

Referring to Asaduddin Owaisi’s remark on chanting ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai,’ Baba Ramdev was quoted as saying, “Some people say that even if you cut off my head, I won’t say Bharat Mata ki Jai. To those I would like to say, this nation is governed by laws and we respect our constitution, otherwise we would behead thousands like them.”

“Such people should feel ashamed and should show some respect towards their nation,” Baba Ramdev further added.

Congress leader, PC Chacko condemned Ramdev’s statement saying, “It shows the diabolic mindset of Ramdev, because he is even ready to kill but is stopped by the law that prevails in the country.”

Yesterday, Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis had taken a dig at Owaisi by saying, “The ones who cannot chant ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’ should leave the country.”
