New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has accepted the invitation of the Indian partner of Madame Tussauds for installing his wax replica at its museum that is likely to come up in central Delhi.
“The Indian partner of Madame Tussauds, Wizcraft Entertainment International, had written to Kejriwal requesting for his consent installing his waxwork figure at the museum. The chief minister accepted the invitation,” a government official told IANS.
The museum is likely to be set up in central Delhi by 2017, said sources.
Madame Tussauds wax museum has its branches located in 20 cities across Europe, US, Asia and Australia.
From India, it includes wax statues of various leaders and celebrities including Mahatma Gandhi, Indira Gandhi, Bollywood stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aishwarya Rai, Kareena Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit, Hrithik Roshan and cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar.
Madame Tussauds has also decided to set up a wax figure of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in its museum at London in Britain.
