Narendra Modi launches ‘Stand Up India’ initiative

Noida: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday launched the ‘Stand up India’ initiative, aimed at benefitting various classes of the society, in Noida. 
The ‘Stand up India’ scheme aims at benefitting women and also the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Dalits.

Modi, while addressing the audience, said, “This program will help empower every Indian to stand on their own feet and the job seekers will become job creators.” 
While making announcements as to how the ‘Stand up India’ program will function, Modi said easy loans will be given to people at all local branches. The PM also paid homage to Babu Jagjivan Ram on his birth anniversary for his services to the nation.
