New Delhi: The Congress party on Saturday criticised Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) on appointing new party chiefs in Karnataka and Uttar Pradesh. This criticism made BJP hit back at Congress by saying "whose leadership is out on bail in a case of alleged fraud and ran a corrupt regime for 10 years has no moral right to talk of corruption".
On Saturday the Congress party attacked BJP for appointing corrupted members like BS Yeddyurappa and Keshav Prasad Maurya to lead the party in Karnataka and Uttar Pradesh.
BJP has refuted Congress' statement by calling the allegation made by Congress to be 'baseless'. BJP said former Karnataka CM Yeddyurappa has been given a clean- chit.
BJP secretary Shrikant Sharma said that the Congress party is losing its base "across the country under Sonia Gandhi and facing a leadership crisis". He even claimed, “Its governments are falling due to internal crises and revolts within," this comment was made keeping in mind the situation of political crisis in Uttarakhand.
