NEW DELHI: A day after being expelled from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Prashant Bhushan on Tuesday hit out at the party and said “AAP has become a Khap Panchayat.”
“AAP is being run by a dictator and has become a ‘Khap Panchayat’. All dreams have been shattered by the dictator and his coterie,” said Prashant Bhushan in a press conference today.
“Finally the drama is over which started two months ago and we were removed from the National Executive,” he said sarcastically.
While talking about their expulsion, Prashant Bhushan said, “Soon after Delhi Assembly elections, Delhi Chief Minister and AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal issued an order that I and Yogendra Yadav should remove from the party.”
“Except taking against those who are breaking the AAP’s spirit, action was taken against us,” Bhushan added.
AAP on Monday expelled the rebel leaders Yogendra Yadav, Prashant Bhushan, Anand Kumar and Ajit Jha from the party on charges of indulging in anti-party activities. (Also Read: Yogendra Yadav, Prashant Bhushan expelled from AAP)
