New Delhi: Pune Rising Supergiants’ requisition to allow them to host their matches in Kolkata’s Eden Gardens is likely to be rejected, sources said on Friday.

The High Court had asked the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to shift all IPL matches scheduled after April 30 owing to the drought situation in Maharashtra.

The Pune team had then demanded to shift all its matches to Kolkata despite the Eden being the home ground for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) which, in turn, causes a conflict of interest.

As per reports, Ganguly’s conflict of interest could be one of the main reasons for the IPL GC’s refusal to shift the matches to Eden Gardens.
