New Delhi: Igniting the debate against the practice of ‘Triple Talaq’ again, Muslim Women Personal Law Board president Shaista Amber has now raised her voice against the practice of triple talaq and misogyny.

In a conversation with NewsX she said, that triple talaq is un-islamic and an evil practice.

“This is a wrong practice which immediately needs to be ended”, she said.

Amber has also accused authorities of ignoring their voices.

“I had requested ex-president Pratibha Patil that the matter is not taken up seriously by some of our organisations. However, the issue was not sorted out then.”

She further said that she will leave no stone unturned to nullify the practice.

“Muslim women are not against the law but social justice and gender equality should be ensured. I believe in Quran. I have complete faith that truth will prevail”, she ended on a positive note.
