Panchkula: An eight-year old boy died at Indian Cricketer Yuvraj Singh’s Panchkula residence after a gate fell on him.
The house is registered under Yuvraj’s mother, Shabnam. As per reports, maintenance work has been going on at the house. In the construction area, son of a labourer was dangling from the residence’s gate which fell on the boy.
The boy was immediately taken to the hospital where he was declared dead.
The police handed over the body to the victim’s family after post-mortem on Friday.
According to reports, there was no one at Yuvraj's place at the time of the accident as both the cricketer and his mother were at their Gurugram residence.
The police have started the investigation and are trying to ascertain the situation when the incident took place.
The police have put the blame on the child for negligence saying it was the child’s fault as he was clinging to the gate rather than booking the cricketer or those occupying the residence.
