New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP and Bollywood actor, Paresh Rawal, along with other BJP MPs, on Monday, were found flouting the ‘Odd Even’ rule in the national capital.
Rawal, along with Ashwini Copra and Rajendra Aggarwal were seen driving into the Parliament in even numbered cars while the city obeys government orders of using odd numbered cars on odd numbered dates and even numbered ones on even dates.
The odd-even rule was breached by the BJP MPs despite transport arrangements that were made from the South Block to the Parliament.
Early last week, BJP lawmaker in the Rajya Sabha and senior leader of the party in Delhi, Vijay Goel, was fined was fined by the Delhi Police for driving to the Parliament House in a car with an odd number plate on an even date. He had openly ‘expressed’ his desire to flout the rule and ‘expose’ AAP’s odd-even corruption.
He had tweeted, “On my way to Parliament in an odd numbered car to expose #oddevencorruption of AAP.”
Delhi's Transport Minister Gopal Rai of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) had strictly warned against infringement of the rule.
