Mumbai: Scriptwriter Salim Khan supported actor-son Salman Khan’s appointment as goodwill ambassador of Rio Olympics 2016. Salman Khan’s appointment in Rio Olympic has been criticised by several memebers of the Indian sports fraternity.
Salim Khan took to Twitter to express his support for Salman Khan over being chosen as the goodwill ambassador of Rio Olympics 2016.

Veteran Bollywood actress and BJP MP Hema Malini on Monday, also extended support to actor Salman Khan on being the brand ambassador of the Indian contingent for the 2016 Summer Olympics to be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The veteran actress in support of Salman said, "The 2002 hit and run case was one percent of his life. For that you can't lessen his popularity. If he is working for a good cause, then why not appreciate him for it?”
