New Delhi: In what can be called as a factual mistake by Delhi University (DU), Indian freedom fighter Shaheed Bhagat Singh has been found labelled as ‘terrorist’ in one of the University’s textbook.
After the mistake was discovered, several authors and historians urged the authorities to remove the reference from the book.
This text has been in circulation for two and half years now but the mistake has been spotted now. Historians have clearly objected to the term and words used for Bhagat Singh in the textbook.
This factual mistake was found in a book called ‘India’s Struggle for Independence’. Chapter 20 of the book addresses Bhagat Singh, Chandra Shekhar Azad, Surya Sen and others as ‘revolutionary terrorists’.
