Bhubaneshwar: A fire broke out at Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik's office on Wednesday. The fire is said to have broken out due to electrical short-circuiting in the chamber of the Chief Minister in the state assembly building.
The fire broke out around 12:20 pm but fire personnel doused the fire in about 20 minutes. As per reports, there is no loss of life or damage to documents.
Fortunately Naveen Patnaik was not present in the room at the time the fire broke out. He is currently in New Delhi and is scheduled to arrive in Bhubaneshwar today.
Speaker Niranjan Pujari and other members of the Odisha state assembly, including some ministers, rushed to the spot to take stock of the situation.
Director general of police KB Singh, was also present at the spot and an inquiry was begun to find out the reason of the fire.
