The Parliament session on Friday had a bitter start with Swamy challenging the expunging of his comments.

New Delhi: The Rajya Sabha on Friday was adjourned till May 2 due to continuous disruptions by the Opposition. 
Jesudasu Seelam of INC blamed the BJP govt for tarnishing the image of Congress in Andhra Pradesh. "I want to tell the people of Andhra Pradesh that what Congress has done is best for the state and its people. The present govt is only doing the job of fooling us," Seelam said.
The Rajya Sabha resumed its proceedings after witnessing uproar in the first half by the Opposition parties. The session started on a bitter note with Subramanian Swamy challenging the expunging of his comments by the House Deputy Chairman. Swamy called the decision as arbitrary, unreasonable and against the House rules.

4.00 pm: In reply to the ministers in Rajya Sabha, MoS Home Affairs Haribhai Parthibhai Chaudhary said that Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act has been helpful to the states. "Special Category Status to the state of Andhra Pradesh has made sure that the state will get Central Assistance," he said.
