Water waste at wedding, Chhattisgarh

Bilaspur: Amidst the water crisis in the country, gallons of water was wasted at the wedding ceremony of Chhattisgarh minister Prem Prakash Pandey’s daughter.

Using gallons of water just to settle down the dust in a marriage is apparently not going down well within the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) but they are not coming out in the open to criticise it yet.

People in Chhattisgarh are living in deplorable conditions and can hardly manage to accumulate water for daily use and drinking purposes.

Shockingly, as per reports, an unnamed political leader defended Pandey said that the issue was small and that it should not be blown out of proportion.

This is the second such incident that has come into light. A few days back, two tankers of water were deployed to sprinkle water on the route through which Siddaramaiah and his convoy was supposed to pass, just to settle dust.

In recent times, many Indian states have been drought-hit, with thousands of people reeling under drought and several deaths being reported due to weather conditions.
