New Delhi: Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on Friday made some stunning claims regarding the London-based consultant Christian Michel, allegedly the key link in the VVIP chopper deal.
Ravi Shankar alleged that the middleman left the country just a day after the CBI probe, on Feb 13, 2016. The CBI had registered an enquiry against Michel on Feb 12.
“If Congress is mentioned in a case of corruption, the party President has to explain it. Let Sonia Gandhi explain the AgustaWestland corruption. Silence will not do.”
Sonia Gandhi on Thursday had accused the govt of being in power for the last two years and not having done enough to complete the inquiry.
Responding to the allegations made by the Congress president, Ravi Shankar Prasad said, “The allegations by the Congress party against the BJP President Amit Shah are malicious, false and full of vendetta.”
Asked about the Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal’s remark on Sonia Gandhi, the Union Minister said he has nothing to say.
