Subramanian Swamy meets jailed Asaram Bapu

JODHPUR: Senior leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) held a meeting with self styled god-man currently imprisoned at the Jodhpur Central Case on Thursday and assured the religious guru that he would fight his case in the court.

“Bail is a fundamental right of Asaram and he would soon file a bail application in the lower court,” Swamy said, adding that he would fight his case in the court.

Comparing the case of Asaram Bapu with politicians such as Lalu Prasad Yadav and Jayalalithaa, the BJP leader asked, “When they could be out of jail despite being convicted, why could Asaram not be out of jail?”

Asaram Bapu had earlier expressed hope at the court regarding ‘Swamy doing something in his case’.

76-year-old Asaram was arrested on September 1, 2013, over the charges of sexually assaulting a minor in one of his ashrams at Jodhpur.

Several similar charges later came into limelight against the self-proclaimed god-man and his son Narayan Sai.

S. Swamy you are wrong........

Wrong on your part Mr. Swamy. Had great respect for you but this is ridiculous. Instead bring Sonia & Rahul to court and make them for their crimes.
