Girl molested in Bengaluru; refuses to file complaint

Bengaluru: Soon after an FIR was lodged in the dastardly molestation case in Bengaluru, the police claim to have arrested one person.
Earlier, under pressure after the massive uproar over the molestation in Bengaluru, the police finally lodged an FIR under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections 323, 341, 354 and 365.
The victim had also spoken out in the matter. She said, "He caught me around the waist, held me tighter & took me away. As soon as he caught me, I shouted for help. I called the uncle who runs the PG. He didn’t hear me. I kept shouting ‘Help, Help’ but nobody came to my help.
Earlier, Chief of the National Commission for Women (NCW) Lalitha Kumaramangalam had requested the victim in the dastardly case to come forward and help the authorities in identifying the molester and bring him to justice.
In the CCTV footage, the victim is seen standing by the street, talking over the phone before a man walks up behind her and lifts her. He is then seen walking away with her into an under construction building as bystanders looked on. The victim was apparently standing right outside her PG accommodation, but noone came forward to help.
The incident took place on April 23 around 9:30pm. The accused escaped from the place soon after the lady screamed and a few people got alerted.
As per sources, the victim refused to file a complaint against the accused. The incident was caught on a CCTV camera and police have taken note of this incident on the basis of this CCTV footage.
