Latur: 45-year-old woman dies while standing in queue to fetch water

Mumbai: A 45-year-old woman died while fetching water in Maharashtra's drought-hit Latur district on Wednesday.
Kevalbai Kamble had been standing in a queue to fetch water from a borewell at Atola village in Chakur tehsil for over two hours when she collapsed, a local police official said.
She was immediately rushed to the government hospital at Latur where she was declared brought dead. 
Deaths reported so far in Latur include that of 11-year-old Sachin Kengar in Beed, Natabai Tekale in Latur and 12-year-old Yogita Desia in Beed.
More than 12,000 villages have been declared drought-hit and the Government of Maharashtra has announced a grant Rs50 lakh to each village.
