Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala CM Oommen Chandy on Tuesday met the family members of the Dalit law student, who was brutally raped and murdered in Kerala’s Ernakulam district. He said that the ‘investigation is going in the right direction’ and the guilty will be punished.
Describing the crime as ‘shocking’, the Kerala CM said the justice will be done. “The govt will provide all possible help with the permission of Chief Electoral Officer and will give job to the victim’s sister,” said Chandy.

The police have taken two persons into custody, who are being questioned by a police team headed by Ernakulam Range IG Mahipal Yadav.
According to media reports, the 29-year-old woman was murdered after rape inside her home, near an isolated stretch, at Vattolippidi Canal Bund near Perumbavoor in District Ernakulam.
