Bengaluru: A month after the infamous Pre-University Chemistry paper leak, Shivakumaraiah, the main accused, was arrested by Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on Monday night from Hosur Road.
The accused was found in an under-construction building at Garvebavipalya. He had reportedly been hiding in there over 20 days. The kingpin, who was deceiving the police, eventually fell into the trap after he couldn’t resist getting in touch with his girlfriend who lived in Mysore Road locality.
So far, 11 people have been arrested in relation to this case.
CID DGP Kishore Chandra said, “Shivkumar, aka Guruji, was one of the most wanted persons in the scam. I am sure he will lead us to the main source now.”
Chandra claimed that even when he was on the run, Shivakumaraiah was trying to leak the Common Entrance Test (CET) paper which will be prevented now.
