New Delhi: In the latest development in the Kerala rape and murder case, a sketch of the prime suspect was released by the police on Wednesday. As per sources, the sketch has similarity with a person who was detained at Kannur on Tuesday.
The man apparently disappeared after the murder. He was brought to Aluva early Wednesday morning and has now been shifted to an undisclosed location for questioning.
In the meantime, the autopsy report submitted its findings on Wednesday. As per the report, 38 injuries were found on Jisha's body.
The murder echoed in Parliament on Wednesday, with BJP MP Meenakshi Lekhi raising this issue in the Lok Sabha. Kerala government has declared a compensation of Rs 10 lakh to the kin of the victim's family.
The 29-year-old law student was raped and then murdered inside her home, near an isolated stretch, at Vattolippidi Canal Bund near Perumbavoor in District Ernakulam.
