Hyderabad: A 24-year-old-man by the name of Irfan inflicted knife wounds on himself allegedly due to police harassment in Hyderabad.

The incident took place on Wednesday when a police team comprising sub-inspector Laxmikanth Reddy along with an assistant sub-inspector and four constables went to the house of Irfan, who is wanted for the murder of a four-year-old kid.

A video footage shows the man holding a knife threatening to slit his neck. He claimed that the cops wanted to kill him in a fake encounter.

“The cops are harassing me, torturing me. Lakshman Reddy Sir is torturing me, I won’t spare him. What have I done that they want to kill me. I’m not a criminal; I haven’t done anything,” said Irfan as onlookers tried to stop him.
