New Delhi: Hindon AirBase in Ghaziabad has been put on red alert after security personnel arrested a terror suspect in the campus. Three people were found allegedly entering the airbase late Thursday night.
Circle officer Ashish Shrivastav said that these men entered the airbase premises around 2AM on Thursday night.
As a precautionary measure, two Kendriya Vidyalaya's in the area have also been shut down by the higher authorities.
Earlier this week, three suspects were arrested with alleged links to the terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM). The terror suspects had reportedly revealed a plot to launch an attack at the Hindon air force base, in the manner that the JeM terrorists had done at the Pathankot airbase in January early this year. The terrorists had also planned attacks on malls in Delhi.
While one of the three suspects has been arrested, police and security personnel are still searching for the other two.
