New Delhi: An Air India flight was grounded at the Mumbai International Airport from 7 pm until 4 am owing to technical issue. Over 250 passengers of the Dreamliner aircraft alleged harassment throughout the ordeal as they suffered the 9-hour nightmare.
Some angry passengers stood on the step ladder of the Mumbai-Delhi-Hong Kong flight as a protest. The passengers alleged that they were not even informed what has gone wrong with the plane.
A week ago, there was report of problem in another Kolkata-Delhi flight as the airways admitted that it was facing teething technical glitches in Dreamliner aircraft. These technical issues with Boeing 787 are nothing new to Air India as they are happening often.
Air India, which was one of the first customers of the Dreamliner planes, currently has 21 Boeing 787-800s in the fleet, of the 27 planes it had ordered with the US aircraft maker in 2005.
