NEW DELHI: After the massive earthquake of 7.9 magnitude that rocked Nepal on Saturday, the central government on Sunday announced a compensation of Rs. 2 lakh to the families of those killed in the disaster across India.
The Prime Minister Office (PMO) on Sunday tweeted, saying “The Government of India has announced compensation of Rs.2 lakh to families of those who lost their lives in the earthquake across India.”

Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal were the worst-hit parts of India in the quake and according to the reports, death toll has climbed to 53 in India and over 200 people were injured.
