Dhaward: Academic activities of the Indian Institute of Technology, Dharwad (IIT-Dharwad) will commence in July this year at the Water and Land Management Institute (WALMI) campus.
The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) results will be announced in June and classes for first year B. Tech at IIT- Dharwad will commence from July. Initially, students will be admitted to three courses – computer science, mechanical engineering and electronics. 40 students will be admitted for each course.
The WALMI campus will be a temporary campus till permanent infrastructure is created for IIT-Dharwad. The Water and Land Management Institute (WALMI) is situated on the Pune-Bengaluru NH, 10km from Dharwad.
A team of five-member from IIT-Bombay, headed by professor Shivaprasad, visited the WALMI campus and held a meeting in connection with the infrastructure to be provided on the campus.
