Ujjain: After Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Chouhan received a distress message about a Malaysian woman missing from the Simhastha Kumbh Mela here, he intervened and called on the officials to track down the lost woman, managing to successfully find her.
 
Yesterday, a message was posted on Chouhan’s Twitter page saying, “Unable to contact Smt. Alamelu Kandasamy from Malaysia. She is in Ujjain Kumbh Mela. Her family is worried on hearing accident.”
 
The Chief Minister kicked into action immediately and after hours of searching were able to track down the woman who was found safe at the Nityananda Ashram in Ujjain.
 
Following which, Chouhan tweeted regarding the whereabouts of the woman assuring the concerned relative that she was safe.
 
The woman immediately responded on Twitter thanking Chouhan and saying that her mother has established contact with her family in Malaysia.
 
“Thank you very much sir. She has contacted her family at Malaysia. Amazing of your quick action in this regard,” the missing woman’s daughter tweeted.
 
The renowned Kumbh Mela has a history of people getting lost in droves during the celebrations as people from all over the world gather in large numbers.
