Rahul Gandhi cancels visit to Puducherry

New Delhi: Rahul Gandhi, who was scheduled to visit Karaikal district in Puducherry to participate in a rally, has cancelled his visit citing health reasons. Apparently, he is down with high fever and his doctor has advised two days.
It was reported yesterday that Rahul Gandhi received any anonymous letter threatening him to ‘blow him into pieces.’ Cancellation of Puducherry visit rises speculations to the visit been cancelled due to the reason of threat. 
However, Rahul Gandhi tweeted in a series of tweets about his health and the cancellation of the visit. He also tweeted that he will update about his rescheduled visit. 

Congress president Sonia Gandhi's political secretary Ahmed Patel, treasurer Motilal Vora and Congress deputy leader in the Rajya Sabha Anand Sharma met Home Minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi on Monday and apprised him about the threat to Rahul's life.
The government on Monday assured Congress leaders that it had asked the security agencies to take maximum precautions for party vice president Rahul Gandhi's security.
