NGT issues notice to Sri Sri Ravishankar

This has come after his statement in a recent interview stating that fine imposed on him is politically motivated

New Delhi: National Green Tribunal (NGT) court has issued a notice to Spiritual Guru Sri Sri Ravishankar questioning as to why the contempt of court proceedings shouldn’t be initiated against him.
The wrath of the court has come after Ravishankar’s statement in a recent interview where he said that the fine imposed on him is politically motivated.
With his Art of Living Foundation (AoL) yet to pay the major chunk of "environment compensation" for its cultural fest on the Yamuna floodplains, spiritual guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar was on Thursday slapped with a contempt suit for "alleged disrespect shown by him to the orders of National Green Tribunal (NGT)".
The matter was to be heard today in which the NGT has now issued a notice to him, also directing him to reply to the file latest by May 25.
