Giant wheel collapses in Chennai

Chennai: A giant wheel collapsed in Kishkinta theme park in Chennai. Authorities had closed it down after the flood and were carrying out a trial run when it broke.
The entire theme park was flooded and was closed since the floods devastated Chennai in November, 2015. When the trial run was being carried out, there were at least 10 staff members on the ferris wheel and the ride suddenly collapsed.
The huge giant wheel broke into 3 pieces claiming life of one staff member and injuring nine others. One died at the spot and other nine, critically injured, were rushed to Deepam Hospital in Chennai's Tambaram area.
