In the latest development to the farmer Gajendra Singh’s death case, two persons, who claimed to be eye witnesses, said “Someone within the crowd instigated Gajendra to climb the tree,” said sources.
According to the sources, the two eye witnesses will be questioned by Delhi Police and the police are verifying the genuineness of witnesses' claim and also going through the news channel footage.
Last week, Gajendra Singh from Dausa district of Rajasthan committed suicide at the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Kisan rally in Delhi following which an ugly turf war erupted between the Delhi Police and the government.
According to the FIR filed by the police, AAP workers obstructed them at every step and their efforts to save farmer’s life. It also adds that the AAP leaders did not pay heed to requests made by police to allow emergency vehicles and the fire brigade to move in.
