Ghaziabad, Mall, Firing, Kaushambi

New Delhi: In a shocking incident reported from the National Capital Region (NCR) on Saturday evening, gunshots were fired outside a mall in the posh area of Kaushambi, near Ghaziabad.
Police and higher authorities stated that the purpose of this firing was only to disrupt the peaceful atmosphere of the area.
According to the police, two men riding a motor bike fired two rounds of shots outside the mall, specifically aiming the liquor shop in the premises, and fled.
Even though the police and mall authorities tried to downplay the incident, it has sent shock waves through the posh township.
What is more shocking is that the incident took place near Indirapuram police station, which is situated nearby the mall.
After receiving the information, a police team reached the spot and started investigations. The police are also scanning CCTV footage available of the incident for further leads.
In May last year, a similar incident was reported in which scores of armed men had entered the lounge bar of a mall in Kaushambi and had opened fire in which three staffers were injured.
