New Delhi: The Interpol, on Tuesday, issued a Red Corner notice against Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) chief Maulana Masood Azhar for his alleged role in the Pathankot attack.

The International Police Association also issued the notice against Masood’s brother Abdul Rauf.

The National Investigative Agency (NIA), after securing an arrest warrant from a special court, had recently approached the agency for issuing a Red Corner Notice against Masood Azhar and three others for their alleged role in the Pathankot attack case.

A Red Corner notice signals arrest of a person wanted by a judicial jurisdiction or an international tribunal with a view to his/her extradition.

A heavily armed group had attacked the Pathankot Air Force Station on January 2, 2016.
