CBI files chargesheet against industrialist and Congress leader Naveen Jindal in coal block allocation

JHARKHAND: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) filed a chargesheet on Wednesday in the coal block allocation scam against industrialist and former Member of Parliament Naveen Jindal in Jharkhand.

Along with Jindal, former Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Koda, Coal Secretary HC Gupta and former Union MoS Dasari Narayan Rao too have been mentioned in the chargesheet. 

The chargesheet further comprises of names of five firms including Jindal Steel & Power Ltd and Jindal Realty Pvt Ltd.

The Naveen Jindal group was allotted 11 blocks in total that made it the single largest receiver of the controversial coal block allotment by the UPA government.
