Guwahati: Sarbananda Sonowal will be sworn in as the Assam Chief Minister on Tuesday, May 24. 
Bringing an end to the Congress monopoly in the state of Assam, Sarbananda Sonowal is all set to become the first Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) CM of the state. This is the maiden victory of BJP in the state of Assam in the leadership of Sarbananda Sonowal. 
BJP won 86 seats out of 126 seats in the Assam Assembly Election.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah, BJP president will be a part of the swearing-in-ceremony that will take place on Tuesday.
