BJP MP Tarun Vijay sustains injuries in a scuffle; hospitalised

Uttarakhand: Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) Tarun Vijay on Friday suffered serious injuries in a scuffle that broke out outside Silgur Devta Temple near Mussorie  in Uttarakhand. He has been hospitalised and is undergoing medical treatment. 

Tarun Vijay was attacked by a mob for allegedly entering the temple prohibited for Dalits, his car was also vandalised during the scuffle. 
More details about the incident are awaited. 
Vijay is currently a Rajya Sabha MP from the state of Uttarakhand. He was the editor of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) weekly in Hindi, Panchajanya, from 1986 to February 2008. He also writes for the Daily Pioneer.
