Faulty fuel forces Ford to recall 48700 units

New Delhi: In what seems to be a concious decision towards improving quality, Ford Motor India will recall 48,000 units of the diesel EcoSport to install a new bundle clip on the fuel and brake lines, according to the reports.
“In its commitment to quality and complete transparency, Ford India is issuing two voluntary safety recalls to correct potential concerns with certain Ford EcoSport vehicles,” the company said in a statement.
The recalled units were manufactured between April 2013 and June 2014. The company is reportedly writing to customers of approximately 700 EcoSport vehicles, made between January and February 2016, and fitted with a 60/40 rear folding seat.
However, there have been no customer complaints, accidents or injuries as a result of either of these concerns, the company was quoted as saying in a statement.
