Kolkata: In a reversal of the EC's decision, the West Bengal government on Saturday, reinstated Rajeev Kumar as the commissioner of Kolkata Police. He will replace Soumen Mitra.
Kumar was removed from the post of top cop by the Election Commission of India, after complaints against him by the Opposition parties in poll-bound West Bengal.
Soumen Mitra, will now be the new ADG (Training), as per reports.
