Peter Mukerjea’s bail plea rejected

Mumbai: For the second time, a Mumbai Sessions court rejected the bail plea of Peter Mukerjea, the co-accused in the Sheena Bora murder case. The plea was filed on March 23.

In the bail application, heard by special CBI court Judge H S Mahajan, Peter stated that he was fond of Sheena and that he had no issues with her relationship with Rahul.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had earlier, in the supplementary chargesheet, alleged that the media baron was unhappy with Sheena and her relationship with Rahul since 2009. The CBI had also stated that it was the relationship that ultimately cost Sheena her life as Peter engaged in a conspiracy with Indrani Mukerjea to murder Sheena.

During arguments CBI prosecutor refuted the grounds of Peter's bail application and told court that they had enough evidence against Peter.
