AIADMK Chief Jayalalitha’s 100-day agenda

New Delhi: Incumbent Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa led AIADMK, on Monday, announced the party’s 100-day agenda after the much heralded state assembly elections.
After clocking a spectacular victory on May 19 by winning 133 seats – much more than the required 118 seats to form a government; the three-time Chief Minister will be the first person (after MGR) to be elected to two contiguous terms.
NewsX has accessed the party’s agenda which apart from mentioning the free power includes other freebies promised by the AIADMK chief like 50% subsidy for women to buy scooters, free laptops with Internet for students in Class 11 and Class 12, eight grams of gold for women getting married, free cell phones for all ration-card holders, Rs 18,000 as maternity assistance, Amma banking cards, maternity leave for nine months and Rs 40,000 crore in loans for farmers from 2016-2021.
Jayalalithaa, the three-time Chief Minister will be the first person after Marudhur Gopalan Ramachandran to be elected for two continuous terms.
