New Delhi: After weeks of itch-inducing heat in the National Capital Region (NCR), a slight tweak in Delhi’s weather occurred on Monday as clouds of dust storm enveloped the city into near-darkness. Though it was a respite, it also brought with it a tragedy as a signboard which collapsed in Sector 18, Noida, near the DLF mall of India took a man’s life and injured two.
Rainfall in the north and north-east region of India brought respite from heat to the national capital. But the alleviating sight was not so pleasant in New Delhi as dust storm capped the entire city, blocking traffic and halting the progress of normal life in the city.
Battered with light drizzle of rain, the Indian capital is expected to be relieved of the heat after a prolonged exposure to scorching weathers for weeks.
Weather forecast predicts a more tolerant climate in the national capital in the coming days.
